Dr. Dexter grew up on a farm in New England surrounded by horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats- a childhood that sparked her lifelong love for animals. As the founder of Capital Home Veterinary Care, Dr. Dexter combines her deep compassion for animals with a commitment to providing a calm, low-stress experience for both pets and their families.
She lives in Goochland with her husband, Matt, their two daughters, and a lively pack that includes Buoy the Boston Terrier, Herm the Miniature Bull Terrier, and Minny the cat.
“My goal in creating this practice was to deliver individualized care for every pet and a more relaxed, stress-free experience at home.”
